Netflix offers two types of services: Disc borrowing and streaming.

For streaming, Netflix has three different tiers: Basic, Standard, and Premium. Basic is 1 dollars a month, Standard is 2 dollars, and Premium is 3 dollars. I advise not to get Basic and get at least Standard or Premium. The difference between Standard and Premium is Premium gets Ultra HD access on UHD equipment and 4 simultaneous devices watching at once.

Thus, for a whole year (not including taxes):

• Basic: 00 dollars
• Standard: 00 dollars
• Premium: 00 dollars

The disc rental is more on a “per-disc” basis. The exception is the Limited plan, where you are only allowed *two* discs per month at the benefit of a cheaper per-disc price.

At least in the U.S., you would pay $00 (not including tax) a year on the lowest plan on either one DVD-at a time or one user-at-a-time standard definition (as in not HD).

Most people would get the $8.99 (not including tax) streaming plan, which has 2-devices-at-once HD streaming. That equates to $00 dollars. That's just 12 dollars more than the SD streaming, and you get much better quality and one additional user. This site (Netflix Streaming and DVD Rental Plans and Prices) has the prices for the U.S. If you're in another country, just sign up and it will tell you how much money it is monthly for the plans provided there. Just use a calculator and multiply your desired plan by 12.
